Question has Kelso ever been a race point ,and what if any does the locals from around there think of it in terms of birds clearing ,as far as i am led to believe its above sea level by a bit.

We've raced from their before mate had terrible racing from it ,well I would say about 90% bad to 10% not bad ,don't think it was ever a good/great race from it .hope this helps .coldstream is a better option IMHO .

I think there are two liberation points in Kelso. I think they are both in the Showground. Varying reports from this one, some good, some bad.

I await the local knowledge.

I have heard only good reports from Coldstream.

 

Hawick has had mixed reports as well.

we had mid week racing from coldstream years ago and it was a great race point never lost a bird but dont know how it would be now but would not mind trying it again never liked kelso as a race point had plenty sticky races from there but you could say the same from all race points now untill we clear the the way its here to stay thats just the way it is now
