Some of you will recall me putting up photo's of the new stock loft I built a year past xmas

I was ever so impressed with the conditions in the loft throughout the summer and the condition of both old and young that it got me thinking over the winter months that perhaps the racing cocks would be better benefitting from the conditions ,so I finally took the decision and moved the breeders out and the boys in .

they settled in no probs and soon had their own boxes ,the biggest decision I had to make then was with them being celibate should I pair them up for the first time ever to bond them to loft and box ,I finally paired them letting them choose their own mates and things went like clockwork

I then had to rearrange the front as there was no way for birds to exit or enter from ,once this was addressed I finally let them out what a bloody nightmare as they wanted back into racing loft which is within touching distance

after thinking about this problem (yes I do a lot of thinking lol)I duplicated the front as if it were the racing loft Problem solved ya beauty

Did not enter first race as they still had young entered cocks into second race still with young and unfit ,not a good day at the races ,I immediately moved on the Saturday night all hens with youngsters into section of racing loft and they finished them off

the cocks responded immediately being own their own .out for 1-1/2 in morning and 2 at night came into fettle very quickly

Sent 21 week past and got 20

then on Saturday sent 19 and got twenty yes the one from the week previous lol

The thing I'm happy with although it is bitterly cold outside just left the loft an hour ago and it was reading 19 degrees inside and that was before I closed the Avairy no wonder they've came good

Said to the missus think I will move in with them Her reply Thought you Had

hope you enjoy the wee bit of banter
