eastcoaster Posted April 12, 2017 Report Posted April 12, 2017 My race birds have blue flesh , they are in good condition fly for fun and eat well , I obviously have read of it being this and that ie too much protien ,respiratory and so on , just wanted a few opinions on it , they are fed 2parts start plus and 1 part barley they get naturaline in water 2 days a week with garlic .
Darnaway Posted April 12, 2017 Report Posted April 12, 2017 Colin from my perspective one option could be a reduced level of oxygen in the blood and as such it may be worthwhile providing an iron tonic which would help to increase the level of red blood cells In a human you will see cyanosis ( blue tinge usually at the extremities) Just a thought Regards Andy
Wiley Posted April 12, 2017 Report Posted April 12, 2017 When you say eat well, how much are they eating? With blue flesh, my opinion is that their blood is not right and need a form of detox, if it was in my own loft they would be given a fast 24-48 hours, then put onto barley only, with naturaline in the drinker for the next 7 days at a double dose. We'd then find the condition has vastly improved.

THE FIFER Posted April 12, 2017 Report Posted April 12, 2017 must have good fresh air circulation in your loft as its fresh air they get the oxygen from.
