I would think, it is far to cold to race birds, in April.and late may should be given a look at you would also f/up percey breeding plan, and also the rspb in their saving runts as there would be more of them

Best first race last Saturday we've had for years,can't see that happening next week looking at the forecast.At least two/three week too soon.Lads that are working have no chance.

Yep sat was quite a warm day to an extent but that was a freak day turned cold again why the rush to race in April when in September we have warm days now

I have been saying this for many years the middle of April is too early.However Thea answer is in the fanciers own hands,my birds are now well trained but I do not know about this Saturday and throwing them away.

That weather would strip them of muscle, and condition in no time,maybe only make your pigeons into homers

If they fly fast they chill must have an effect don't forget we have reduced there fat. geese don't fly till they are fattend up for the long haul

Feds set their programs to tie in with nationals , i think if the nationals were put back a week or two then that would help Feds put theirs back . Jmho
