Lottery Grant's What Clubs Have Received Grants In 2017

What clubs, have been successful this year, with grants. or 2016 for racing pigeon clubs as we applied in about 2010 and got nothing are there any grants for new roofs for club hut only asking like as our roof is getting dodgy

Coal board regeneration,Sellafield and local parish council,have had grants off all three,applied for a lottery grant some years ago and was refused.

When applying make sure you say the club is a communitie friendly sport,

Its more about what the club brings to the communties make sure you mention the club is for all races and genders and it is an oap sports that is Trying to attract new members of al ages as it's a dieing sports they want there money to benefit a area say yous open the door for other functions like quizzes and general get togethers for the locals

A few years ago Chapelhall club in the Midland fed,had a very clever secretary in Jim McHutchison,he filled out the form and the club got money for a new club hut and taurus ets clocks for the whole club,pensioners and children being the vital criteria. Good Luck

Yes mate,doesn't have to be ex miners in the club,sorry to say long gone in my area,most of my family were miners.I suppose as long as there was mining in the area,I was pointed in the right direction who was a county councilor,our contact was the local library.Try your Parish Council,they are allocated a sum of money and if they don't use all of it they get less the next financial year.Tell them why you need a grant,we use our money for repairs and renewing club items,ie. baskets etc.

Apply to wind farm sure that one that runs from beattock through Crawford is called the clyde wind farm

Perfect chance with the Lanarkshire birds racing through them each week tell them on application for funding form that its the birds natural line of flight they are effecting ,the reason we couldn't get money was the one at ae is not effecting line of flight for our doos in the Solway ,Our Club Secretary Walter is much better educated on the ins and outs

My Club received a grant for a trailer in 2015 from Awards4All. It may fit your application, just remember that Pigeon Racing is not classified as a sport, it is more a recreational pastime. Your Club is a volunteer based, not for profit, organisation that offers the opportunity for all like minded enthusiasts of all ages,colour & creed to participate in their chosen pastime. If you feel that you want to apply and would like any advice , feel free to ask. I received advice from Thomas Garvie of the Netherburn Homing Society in 2007 and it led to a successful grant application for ETS, and using the same criteria a successful grant was made in 2015. So it pays to not be afraid to ask.

Thank you mick that is a great help,was only asking if clubs in 2016-2017 have had grants just a yes or no

So I could approach our secretary to apply for these grants as I don't have the club constation ,or bank details of our club, some club secretaries that get paid well say its not in there remit to do this,extra work. I Disagree what would you advise mick

If there is a need for a grant then you will need the Club & Secretary on board but he doesn't have to formulate the application. Bring it up at your Club get the go ahead and possibly form a sub-committee to work on the bid. I'm willing to advise once the Club gives you the green light. Most importantly, all it costs is time.
