buster151 Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 After vaccination would you give before offering wormers or canker and cocci products
Kyleakin Lofts Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 Two weeks for me, but I have little or no experience. The vaccination says two weeks before mixing with other pigeons, so a good indicator as to when they are in the clear. Someone more versed should keep you right.
buster151 Posted April 29, 2016 Author Report Posted April 29, 2016 I thought it was 2 weeks myself until I read the instructions fully on the Columbovac vaccine and it says 21 days before mixing and at least 4 weeks before racing/ showing
buster151 Posted April 29, 2016 Author Report Posted April 29, 2016 Are these old birds or young birds? Old birds
Kyleakin Lofts Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 I thought it was 2 weeks myself until I read the instructions fully on the Columbovac vaccine and it says 21 days before mixing and at least 4 weeks before racing/ showing They must have changed the instructions. erring on the side of safety. Read Walter Boswell's health tips. He talks all about vaccination and shedding.
peter pandy Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 I have always vaccinated, ivermectined and cankered young birds on leaving the nest and is the only time I blind treat with no problems whatsoever.
