Transporter Crates

Is there any federations that have grills in their crates in the transporter if so what's your feeling about them. Our fed has just the cardboard we are not allowed to put no easibed in them in which I don't personally agree with anyone any thoughts on either.

The problem I would think of, would be the height reduction in the basket. For the. Pigeons.

Ayrshire North Road Fed has grills in all their crates which were designed to take the grills. This keeps the pigeons away from the cardboard and any spewed up feed. Great system.

NIPA only permit corrugated cardboard and sand as a dressing in the crates.

The Combine I am in at present uses corrugated paper and coarse sand, it seems ok, but I preferred the grills used by the Fed we used to be in, with hand made small mesh wire grills and newspaper underneath. Felt it kept them cleaner, plus they didn't slide about so much in transit.

the cardboard is ok till its a hold over anymore than a day in the basket with no dressing and the birds feet and tails were covered in crap i found
