Roland Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 beat France and do England a favour? :002: Mind they have their' pride and are starting to put together a good pack. Besides I don't think France can get enough points for even if the beat Scotland and England
Roland Posted March 13, 2016 Author Report Posted March 13, 2016 Come on Scotland :scotland: They are playing a hard new game... like wise France, but after a Shakey start, and last couple of minutes.... But here's hoping.
Roland Posted March 13, 2016 Author Report Posted March 13, 2016 Well that was more like the Old Scottish Pride. They dug in deep and came out on top. Well Done the Jocks.
paddymac Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 Well done Scotland :emoticon-0137-clapping:
Roland Posted March 16, 2016 Author Report Posted March 16, 2016 Yes Andy. I often have look to no avail lol. Wanted to ask the Scots what percentage of improve do they think that they have achieved. Whether it is down to the pack, or new manager or both. When I was a lad we learnt very much that the Scots were a nation of tradition and pride. When later in life participating, and watching it was obvious that (Mostly) they held pride above all and individually. Jock Stein was a master. He build a side from players who were born and raise within a mile or so of each other. He stated that they talk the same language from the same page ... and went on to achieve greatness. The English top sides often have had brilliant scots in the engine room.
Delboy Posted March 16, 2016 Report Posted March 16, 2016 I fancied Scotland to win the Grand Slam this year.Ye might think its a daft statement but , for me they have shown they are the most entertaining and skilful side in the 6 nations.England and Wales were very lucky to beat us and I think if we had a wee rub of luck we would be leading the Championship. You forget, Scotland got the furthest in the World cup and Glasgow Warriors won the Pro 12. Its a pity we hadn't the arrogance and self belief of other countries as we would win the lot. The Manager is first class but I think some of both the forwards and backs are now world class.
Roland Posted March 16, 2016 Author Report Posted March 16, 2016 Interesting post Del Boy. And no we didn't forget 'You forget, Scotland got the furthest in the World cup'!
