the crows often take them out of the nest or when they first come out but still not able to fly,

yes the crows are a menace , i had blue tits in my birdhouse watched them well but one day they came out and i just saw a crow go with one, went out and picked the other 2 up and put them back in their nest, i know u shouldnt do so but better than the crows getting them, a few days late i saw the parents feeding the 2 sitting on the tele wires so they got away

Definately magpies. The magpies in my back garden take the young blackbirds just when they are ready to leave the nest It,s happened for the last 2 years :devil:
