ally mac Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 Unfortunately it's part of the doo game Brian but always hurts. Just need to be ready to deal with it.

neila Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 I take it that it was a female , I don't have bother from the hen to around march to may but I am being bothered by a young hawk at the moment but it is to small to take them but still scares them You will have to get rid of it , it should return to the dead bird while its still warm

PAPA B Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Posted September 30, 2015 your learning, So I let my birds out this afternoon, they haven't been out since the Sparowhawk attack that got one of my birds. They were doing great circling the house, then they just never came in so 8 birds all out tonight. Why ? Is it still stalking them.?
Kyleakin Lofts Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 (edited) Could be. Any cats around? Edited September 30, 2015 by Kyleakin Lofts
PAPA B Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Posted September 30, 2015 Ya there always around.its it normal for them to stay out all nyt ?
Kyleakin Lofts Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 If the cats are near the loft they might stay out rather than risk the cat pouncing when they are trying to trap, especially if the cat has been on the trap looking in. This is just one step away from it actually going in. The SH could also be your problem if it has buzzed them at the loft.

PAPA B Posted October 1, 2015 Author Report Posted October 1, 2015 Ya I'll do that next time let them go out if they want.
Dougie Hamilton Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Next time it happens leave the pigeon and put that sticky fly paper over the pigeon like a cross and the sparrowhawk will always return and gets caught up in the tape then u take it and release 20 miles away
