Just reported 32 GB rung birds to RPRA and guess what 30 of them are scottish and not RPRA scottish but SHU Scottish birds with no wing stamp or telephone rings on and what's even worse the majority of them were put in their own Fed stray baskets and sent to the stray centre.

1 they could have been returned to their owners this weekend.

2 they would have cost nothing.

3 Now they will be charged £3.60 plus what ever their Fed puts on each bird. Why why why do fanciers not wing stamp or put telephone rings on their doos. It takes a lot of time to report these birds that I should not be accepting because they are not wing stamped with an SHU wing stamp. As I have said in the past I will not turn any birds away from the stray centre but for fks sake give me a hand. I must thank Scottish Borders Jim Ramage and Gorge Trusdale Midland Fed who brought 85 doors in this weekend

Davy, I don't understand your first post.

GB rung pigeons are not SHU, they are RPRA. They must either be bought in by an SHU member or are from an RPRA Scottish Fed.

I presume you meant they were bought in by an SHU member who has lost them, then his own Fed sent them to the stray centre. If they had telephone rings or wing stamps then they would not have reached you because the Fed in question would have known they were locally owned. Is this correct? :)

biggest nonesense is no wing stamps or clip rings at snfc races maybe if this rule was changed more ppl would do it too their pigeons

its to avoid cheating during a race

example- if at the gold cup there were no birds into Scotland on the night

and a bird goes into someone at say Berwick

the guy sees the wingstamp or address ring and phones the fancier direct

the fancier jumps into his car drives and collects the bird

if on a stb/t3 he removes the rubber and clocks it in the car park in Berwick

or he drives home and puts it over the ets pad hence winning the race the cup the cash

but most of all his name as a national winner

he then sits back and nobody knows hes been any where except the guy in Berwick

who may not be a fancier and would never know hes aided in someone cheating and never will

if the guy who gets it in has no direct number to contact

then he has to go through the shu or the fanciers own club

thus having someone else knowing where the bird is and that it has been reported

then he cant do that and get away with it
