ally mac Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 If you had the chance of a yb from a great doo what would be best choice for stock, passing on genes etc? say a national winner was a cock, would you want a cock or hen from it for your stock loft? Likewise if national winner was hen?
MIK Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 i would take the opposite sex ...if having a choice. But any one would do me if same sex as the great pigeon ..i would prefer same colour and type jmo ... Mick

Kyleakin Lofts Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 It largely depends on the breeding Ally. If it has been bred down a male line, in both cases, I would prefer the cock. If it has been bred down a female line then it is a bit more complicated.

Wiley Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 If its a winning cock bird id always take a daughter as a choice, and vise versa if a winning hen
