If you had the chance of a yb from a great doo what would be best choice for stock, passing on genes etc?

 

say a national winner was a cock, would you want a cock or hen from it for your stock loft?

 

Likewise if national winner was hen?

if same sex as the great pigeon ..i would prefer same colour and type

if you take the cock you could always run it with more than one hen

It largely depends on the breeding Ally. If it has been bred down a male line, in both cases, I would prefer the cock. If it has been bred down a female line then it is a bit more complicated.

Out of any winning pigeon I would take the hen for stock
