clockman Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 Thurso pigeons were liberated at 7.00. How did the race go?
Kyleakin Lofts Posted July 24, 2015 Author Report Posted July 24, 2015 How did the race go? Only 8 pigeons timed from 120 liberated. There have been perhaps between 12 and 20 more over the following days. This final race of the Old Bird season has been a bit of a disaster. We will investigate, but I don't suspect any facts will come to light as to why it turned into a disaster. birds going over peterhead 9-55am Roughly how many do you think were in the drag, so we can figure whether you saw NRCC or our pigeons?

Kyleakin Lofts Posted July 24, 2015 Author Report Posted July 24, 2015 not the best of days andy quite a strong south wind rain and mist in the Aberdeen area I thought when I heard you were up that you lads would struggle Thanks for the info. NRCC had a line and liberated, we were liberated 30 minutes later. I had one reported in the borders, flown out, so I suspect they went the NRCC line out on the water, coming back in between Dunbar and Berwick.
Kevin73 Posted July 25, 2015 Report Posted July 25, 2015 I would think NRCC returns are about 30/40% with many birds reported in the Aberdeen, Southern Scotland and North of England areas flown out.
