As a matter of interest when is a bird classed as being out of race time ,is there a specific velocity. cheers!!

Some races close after x amount of days some by velocity, different organisations different rules.

shu rule book states a one day race closes at midnight on the day of liberation

page 14 rule 16

 

no mention of vellocitys that I can see

 

but clubs feds may have their own rules regarding minimum vellocitys

our club made a rule that in a tough race from channel, race will remain open until 12.00 noon next day so we could fill top 5 positions if only 1 or 2 made on the night.

 

every other race is one day apart from the 2 farthest which are 2 and 3 day races upto 12 noon
