DELETE Rule 21 states NO MINORITY VOTE CAN WIN IN ANY VOTE TAKEN strange ???? should any majority vote not win Cheers Homer 49 And you are not the only one that does not understand it, or even why something like this was proposed , because I have never known a vote be taken that any minority could ever win, was always the majority, but it will be explained no doubt at the AGM and we will all know the reason then, it is quite intriguing though
Guest Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 aye mon alf what does the drums say :-/ :o :oIS IT A SECRET :o ;D ;D ;D

Guest WINGS 04 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 HOW MANY MEMBERS OF LANARKSHIRE WILL BE GOING TO THE AGM???? AND IF WE ARE GOING TO BE MOVED BACK TO THE EAST WILL THAT BE THE LAST RACE PROGRAMME AGM AS IF PPL THAT CAN'T BE BOTHERD TO GO CAN NOW JUST PUT PRESSURE ON THE FED BY SAYING THEY ARE GOING IT ALONE OR TRYING TO SPLIT THE FED I THINK THEY SHOULD HOLD THER HEADS IN SHAME
me Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Hi Need some help in understanding the following motion on the agenda for AGM Rule 21 Of the Constitution. DELETE Rule 21 states NO MINORITY VOTE CAN WIN IN ANY VOTE TAKEN strange ???? should any majority vote not win Cheers Homer 49 Maybe this is aimed at votes where several different motions are considered by the one vote : propasal a = 21 votes, proposal b = 19 votes, proposal c = 22 votes for instance. Now if proposals a+b concerned motions to fly down the east of the country say and proposal c was for down the west side say I could see the point. We all know what happened when the snfc rule came it too play a few years ago when the overwhelming MAJORITY vote was deemed to have failed because of their stupid outdated constitution, the minority prevailed.

Saw this was a constitutional item and wondered if there was a 'percentage present and voting' rule when voting on Lanarkshire's consitution?
