barlbymark Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 i got my bricon ets . dont know if my club will let me use it thoe as they had a bit of bother last season with somone useing it. but if not no probs i also belong to the north east provincial club i will race with them they useing ets lol
Roland Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 So one club will be one less, a member wealer and a slight increase to cover costs to the remainders eh!
barlbymark Posted January 20, 2008 Author Report Posted January 20, 2008 yeah maybe but if they dont want ets fair anough i will go where they do, ets is here to stay and its time to move on, but i will state that the reason i want ets is coz i got back problems and its easyer for me,
me Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 No doubt your old club will be disappointed but as you say you know the way forward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
barlbymark Posted January 21, 2008 Author Report Posted January 21, 2008 thats it me, they will all have ets in the next year or so people are scared of change thats human nature lol
Roland Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 As long as the ET brigade gets their way eh! Yet still the tripe and dribble drapple crap gushes out like the wet crap it represents. If you want a ET, Have one, but don't play fools scenarios' Have it, and hang the cost if any... Lets face it, those that want it, have will have it, even if they were the only 4 flyers in a club. Just get on with it, because I'm sure in reality - outside of you, no one gives a fickled rat's *expletive removed*.... Just cheapens ones selve when slush is spilled as if to fool anyone. Must be the guilt complex... and hang the sport I'm alright Jack. two clubs I'm in aren't interested, the other I feel will be mostly, if not all using it ... So I will in that club, and not the other two. But I shalln't bleat and say silly things like 'Well I have it now, so might as well use in ' ...
NANCYVIEWLOFTS Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 never really commented on ets before as i have no strong views one way or the other but i thought initially it was to aid the disaballed or so you could still clock a bird if you could not be at the loft to clock your birds but now it seems as though it is mainly for the big team sprint men because all you see is multi pads this and multi pads that soon we will be seeing adverts stating bird for sale finished 30th beaten by 29 loft mates in many cases there may be one word that sums it up GREEEEEEEEEED
gangster Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 the last 2 posts kind of sum up a lot of things....
barlbymark Posted January 21, 2008 Author Report Posted January 21, 2008 oooooops over and out another one under my belt lol. he who dears wins.
barlbymark Posted January 21, 2008 Author Report Posted January 21, 2008 think i send you this book roland it was published in the 1940,s you stuck in the past will sute you lol
Roland Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Don't be so silly barlbymark, and sarcasm is not only the lowest form of wit it is just an excuse for lack of brain power, and a feeble way of saying 'I haven't an answer to that'! Just be honest, not only with us - for no one here asked you to post regards having a ET, or even cares whether you have one or not! And as for saying I live in the past, that is so absurbed it is beneath comtempt! So I feel in that scenario you need to get a hold of yourself, get to grips with life and a few home truths. I have been having discussions now with fanciers all over the world for more than ten years n regards the Benefits, and cost to the sport in regards ET's. That is a fact, and the lady summed it up .... Greed, and wanting every bit of a helping hand to gain a little leeway over the opposition! And have all the tripe and lame excuses.... Never one - outside of me and another good honest member on here, have I ever heard any one say... I'll have a handicap of just 15 seconds ... or more truthfully 'I'LL Give you back the quarter of a mile I pinch on every 1700 ypm race. I have and do advocate that, and have been trying to implement it in the one club that I fly I that SEEMS LIKELY TO have the ET. So take the lame crutch and stick that one up your jackcee.
swilcox Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 I got my Unikon System now, best system available.
THE FIFER Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 I got my Unikon System now, best system available. our club used unikon last year, everyone delighted, with it, makes marking, timing in, and taking off clocks a whole lot easier, this year when you take off you are going to have all the birds clocked in with their velocities all worked out on the printout,
No 1 Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Unikon is very simple to use, with some of the comment's on here, it is just as well. NO 1
barlbymark Posted January 21, 2008 Author Report Posted January 21, 2008 lol got a responce yet again lol over and out lol
barlbymark Posted January 21, 2008 Author Report Posted January 21, 2008 so you saying then roland only you can post what you want and no one else can. i thought this was a forum for all to post and chat about what they want. sorry about that how silly of me i will im you next time and ask your permision first. lol
Lennut Tar Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Unikon is very simple to use, with some of the comment's on here, it is just as well. NO 1 Dangerous territory ????????. Your stepping into with your comments above ;D ;D ;D I hope you are brave man :D Enjoy.
Merlin Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 All the debate re E.T.S the amount of energy and time spent discussing it,the expected fall off with membership,Birds of Prey, Young Bird Losses,Young Bird sickness, Councils stance,D.E.F.R.A re Avian Influenza,Foot and Mouth Price of and rings on an ongoing basis, security of same not forgetting its a micro chip with said info,so has Bank Cards look at embezzling there.,would it not be benifical to all our birds welfare,if just half the effort and monies expended on above went to solving any of above problems, I am neither ant/pro E.T S. and if it was used to help disabled no problem, give it free, but the way it has been introduced, diability act, should each club now have wheelchair access, race sheets in braille, commercialism was the reason for its introduction, nothing else.in general its of no benifit to our birds,or problems they face.
carlsberg Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 it probobly is no benefit to the birds BUT it is a benefit to the fanciers you may say people will leave the sport but a lot already left due to work commitments with ets it allows them to work and also to enjoy racing pigeons again
retired Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 well done Barlby apart from all the arguments really think you made the righ choice on which system to choose.
No 1 Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 It's No 1 in the World, Ron Williamson, Frank Tasker, Mark Gilbert & Geoff Kirkland can not all be wrong and not forgetting Curtis, Wall, Lunt & Green, NO 1
Red.Yoyo Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 The sport is in a mess. I am not sure that there is another kicking left in it. It is time to put back and not take out but the folks with commercial interests dont care about the long term as long as there is a swift dollar in it. We all need to live and let live. No more blackmail from legal lobby. Lets just race doos. The ones who shout the loudest and cause the hassle seem the poorest type of fancier to me.
ALF Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 It's No 1 in the World, Ron Williamson, Frank Tasker, Mark Gilbert & Geoff Kirkland can not all be wrong and not forgetting Curtis, Wall, Lunt & Green, Sumo And me ;D ;D ;D
