Really sorry to hear of Jims departure we all make mistakes and do not believe that this will be good for Lanarkshire fed losing a man with his experience.But the man has made his decision and i would like to wish him the best of luck for the future.Now onto the matter of a replacement my vote goes to Homer49.   ;D What do you think mate are you up for the role. ;D ;D

I have watched this whole scenario unfold since Friday without commenting, some of you guys have really short memories, three years ago when Jim was voted in as race controller he was given absolute authority at a general meeting by the members to make any decision that he seen fit with regard to race control.This was done because it was suspected that the previous controller was at times being pressurized into making decisions that were detrimental to the welfare of the birds, or do none of you remember any of this,now i see it being written on here that he should have been overuled by the Fed officials, what a load of crap, i have not spoken to Jim but having known him for forty years i know that his decision to cancel the race would have been taken with the the best interests of the birds foremost in his mind, sure he got it wrong,the birds should have been race marked, but the man who is always right does not exist, with hindsight everyone is the best race controller in the world. Personally i am sorry to see Jim go, he would have learned from this if he had stayed,we have lost a real Doo man who over the piece has given us some tremendous racing with well above average returns.Best of luck to the next guy, he will be fine until he makes a mistake.

there is two things that bother me here    one is,   when  budgie  was   called on, he reports missing, so that tells me he aint the  race controller, and aint up to it,       and was only there for the ride, the second point is i would hate to think  hannah  was away with   another fed on Saturday - Sunday  if so that is the boot in the  goo-lies  that i couldn't take, there is a new guy in the block already hand picked  and  it will be announced on wednesday   and possibly ripon to go to with it, so if your not up for the jobs dont put yer name down  and  be the man, when in fact we know different :-/ ??)  ps we dont need secrets any more

SPOT ON BIG MAN, alltough its no my fed ,i feel for jim hannah as i know first hand from a good friend who used to race control, one bad race and they want your ball$, they ALL FORGET ALL THE GOOD RACES VERY VERY QUICKLY.  SADO'S, i know its a job i would not like NO WAY , and to think they do it all for nowt.

Most of the posts iv'e read here say jim made a mistake all he done at most was make a wrong decision it was a wrong decision to the good nobody lost a feather at the weekend lets leave the criticisum for when the man does make a mistake we voted these guy's in and had the option to vote for someone else at the time now its high time we all started supporting the guy's that give us there time every week so we can have a sport now lets get jim back then when it comes to the agm we can sort things out like adults, jim like the rest of the officials of the lanarkshire fed have the full support of j whiteford and family until they do make a mistake then we'll start moaning about it, come on jim withdraw your resignation and ignore the balloons there full of wind. p.s most of use moaners were probably out shopping on saturday anyway.
