Just wondering if there is any way of treating canke as I have a young bird with canker and not exactly one I want to loose,

Thanks in advance Craig

Hi Craig

If its confirmed Canker then best to treat your flock

for is this bird has been beside the others then

it will have transmitted the canker through the drinking water

For single bird treatment Spartix by Harkers is as good as any

There are many company's sell cankers cures

have a look at DAC Pharma in BHW or RP

Cheers

It's nothing to do with maze graig but yellow puss is one sign of canker but very advanced at that stage canker can't be seen in early stage and will be in the crop you need the microscope to see it tell tale signs are birds being off the pace to not retuning and high losses over the 300 ml stage better to get a test done

prevention is best for sure stress can cause it transferred though the drinking water damp lofts the list goes on and on its a natural thing in a bird its not a disease as such

iodine organic cider vinegar nystation all helps to keep it at bay

all birds have some levels of it a raise in canker levels can also tell you that they may be a underlying problem
