I had a red from a Blue Cheq cock and a Blue Hen. There are no reds in the section and the parents have no reds in their lines. It will be a hen but it was a big surprise to me.

In another section I made a mistake and had two spare hens in it and they mated and built a nest. In the first round they laid four eggs and as you would expect the eggs were infertile. In the second round I thought I would slip a youngster under them but when I checked two of the four eggs were fertile. I have a Dark Cock that has done a lot of winning in the same section. The youngsters under the Lesbian Hens are dark so he must have mated the one hen. So my surprise there was that I have four youngsters from my good cock when I was expecting two.
