Yes clocked around 22.50, he had controlled his clock and had to control again after he timed her . 1st west section, 7th open. :emoticon-0137-clapping::emoticon-0137-clapping:

Aye there was a pigeon timed in before her in the Gow but she beat it but i cannae remember who it was but she was a cracker alright some pigeon

yip vince and me were waiting on him coming into the railway club that night phoned our taxis for 10 50 after clock control when feenie came in and said he had timed at 5 to 11 in pitch darkness vince hendry and i nearly choked on our beer lol me and wullie findlay from larkhall went to the snfc presentation with john to collect his 1st west section think she was 5th open that night a great pigeon in a hard race and she went on to win the gold award for five times national i had the good fortune to beat her in the rennes race she got her gold award think it was about 81 or 82 i was more surprized i beat this great hen than i was scoring in my first and only gold cup race lol great times

Your right Alf, can't remember either , but only 2 in the west section on the day.

 

My uncle Shug worked with John Feenie for years in the Electricity board and they were good pals and drunk together most friday nights in the railway club in Hamilton which was always full of pigeon men on a friday night :emoticon-0167-beer:

I was at John Feenie's loft several times and got 6 birds from him from 1979 - 1981. That Railway Club must have been THE PLACE - as I've heard of several fanciers going there :emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer: John McFall used to go also hoping for a few wee secrets from John Feenie :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Walter,I was told he was the calmest man in Hamilton that night - 7th open :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping:clocking in the dark - what a performance - she won her gold award in '82.

shame they both died fairly young cant remember shugs age but john feenie was only 59 i think great doo man to and both never married

Shug was 59 when he died tae Wattie i was gutted as i looked on the big man as a father figure and no my uncle as we went everywhere the gither fae i was a wee boy....

Yes Michael, it was only yourself and Edmond Johnston & Son [4th & 5th ]that clocked two birds each on the night :emoticon-0137-clapping::emoticon-0137-clapping:

 

Jock Allan was 38th & 50th open with two Blue Cocks.
