paddymac Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 Keep them coming Rooster, another cracking article on past fanciers. Well done :emoticon-0137-clapping:
andy Burgess Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 have read this recently , is another great one Rooster
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted February 2, 2014 Author Report Posted February 2, 2014 Aye he was in the very top bracket of fanciers. It's interesting to note how often his name crops up in the breeding of a number of top pigeons
andy Burgess Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 Aye he was in the very top bracket of fanciers. It's interesting to note how often his name crops up in the breeding of a number of top pigeons I agree , how often its mentioned or indeed seen on paper , off Billy Napper,s "such & such" . like the quote too , "nice to be important , more important to be nice"
billt Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 A good read, nice to see he thought the fad of lotions and potions was a nonsense, I'm convinced by what I read on here that some think a pigeon is a pigeon and if you're in the know as what to administer you could make it into a winner, Glad he had a retirement loft, I kept mine after I last raced in 1986 and it's grown to about a hundred

I think as new comers or novices to the sport ,we/they believe the winners have "secrets in a bottle" yet it simply isn't true , good pigeons first & foremost
