Came across this in 1980 BHW stud book from an advert placed by Wilson Noble -" Black Rocket - 1976 - 1st club, 1st fed, only bird on day. 1st North Sec, 11th open SNFC Rennes, 663 miles, 7953 birds, clocked on day 17 hours 40 minutes on wing.In 1975 Black Rocket - 1st Champ Club, 2nd FIFC, 9th fed Avranches, 624 miles, 17 hour 25 minutes flying time " Does not state if the 1975 performance was flown on the day, but nevertheless an outstanding hen.

As far as I'm aware Alan Raeside's 'Conquerer' is still the 1000 mile record holder.Wilson Noble's record performance was from Rome. Here is another 1000 miler-Wellbank Endurance

I maybe went a bit over the score with this one It's Napper and Lane's 'Combine Cock' he had a string of UNC positions as long as you arm and was a grandson of their 'Cotton Reeler' 11th UNC Bourges(562 miles) and 17th UNC Nantes (530 miles) on one side and his dam was an inbred granddaughter to the Rutter Bros '£1000 Hen' 4th,7th,9th,9th,11th,16th UNC-6 times a Bourges winner. These are the doos !!
