Have had a couple of pms asking how it got in to my loft .and also was told it would not remove pigeons from the loft .have cleaned the area around the door because of the mess it had made .if the photos come up ok you can see were it was pushing its way under the door .and if you look at the brick to the right hand side you can see the blood on it .it also had a good chew at the bottom corner of the door .

looks like you,ll be doing some joinery at the weekend Billy :emoticon-0138-thinking:

Removed the trap to take the photo Andy .it will stay in the corner for a few days just to be sure.this is the only part of my lofts that haven't got wire top and bottom didn't think this small space would be a problem hard lesson for me to learn but as you say it will get sorted pal.

is that a sliding end door Billy ?? I would be tempted at fixing a pair of childrens bicycle stabilisers with the wheels pressing against it to save anyting getting under it again .

get some carpet gripper a long the bottom ;)

Many years ago had the gripper all around the top of my fence but it got me in a bit of trouble so had to take it down.and just by luck the foxes started killing all the local cats.

What usually happens with mink is that a young one has tried to find a territory along a stream or river but has failed and been driven off by the current occupant. They will then go off to try to find food to avoid starving to death. This is probably why it turned up at your place and away from water. During it's journey to your place it will have left a scent trail which will stay active for months. If there happens to be another mink driven off they will be very likely to follow the trail and turn up at your place. I think it would be wise to keep a tunnel trap set and ready in case you get another visitor.
