The birds were liberated at 06-30 this morning in a light north east wind,forecast here today is to be close to 30c so going to be a very hot day,will be pleasantly surprised if we get a bird tonight but never say never,birds were in tip tip condition and as fit as I could have them and the 4 hens were sitting 12/14 days but today will certainly test them

We fly in to the High Peak[ we are completely surrounded by hills] and it is just under 540 miles and thanks,and thank you to the other well wishers as well

there were no birds anywhere up here last night but we timed our grizzle hen this morning at 08-00am so we are hoping it is third time lucky for her as I said she had been pipped into second the last two year from Saintes but regardless we are over the moon :emoticon-0140-rofl:

This morning another one of our hens returned from Saintes,Dale Renwick told me there was a red hen on the fence at the side of the loft and it's mate was on the aviery wire trying to get out,made our day with her coming back :emoticon-0140-rofl: :emoticon-0140-rofl:
