geordie1234 Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 The sooner the better all this bad debt it football is wiped the better imo then clubs can begin to grow again. Once these clubs have repaid debt there should rules that no club can overspend what they bring in. Just like the fifa rules for clubs in Europe. No club should be able to run with debt if it was any other business they would be made bankrupt

Guest geordiejen Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 its a sad thing to realise that a sport can get into these terrible situations.the game of football is all about money, money ,money.celtic over the moon and putting what they are getting in their pocket from the qualification of european football.football players barely out of school running around with£50'000'00 cars and million pound houses.sky sports charging a fortune for the channels and handing the english premiere league hundreds of millions for the rights to show games.if the normal working guy takes his 2 sons to a game of football hes not getting much change from £100,00.season books going up every year.last season was the first season in my adult life that ive not went to a celtic match and it wont bother me if i dont go again.the way things are going there wont be a football league in scotland.

Guest geordiejen Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 well mate look at my old local club, clydebank.sold the park at clydebank shopping centre,a feckin bingo hall, lidl and pound stretcher have taken the space also with a mackky d's.the bankies had as good a park as the jaggy whistle but now they are playing junior football and ground sharing with yoker at holm park.my dad used to work behind the bar in the club house and as kids we got plenty of coca cola and watched the game for free.happy days but sadly football is all about greed.
john cumming Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 Your spot on mate there was no sympathy for rangers every one was sticking the boot in "correct" sad thing is there are a few clubs teetering on the brink and one or two already history, look at gretna, and clydebank, the restructuring of scottish football well thats another story but doncaster and Co need to have a major rethink as theyve achieved " hee haw " as it stands and the game in scotland is on its last legs john
