am sure they wont be far away, probs sitting on some of the roof tops around your loft area, young birds quite often do that, when they get hungry they usually work back

Im sure you'll get them back mate, i've had a yb drop back today after been missing a week, God knows where thats been but it obviously knows where it lives :)

Don't worry craig it happins !! iv had near enuff a different young een stay oot for a nite or two for the last past two weeks.they usually always wander in aboot pal !!

I had one drop in last night from Consett, last youngbird race last year.It has'nt been in anywhere, all discoloured,never cease to amaze.

 

 

just makes you wonder where theve been n what theyve been up to

Yeah thanks mate and nope never seen any of the two of them again yet and also let all 15 young birds out tonight but only 14 returned so I'm missing a grizzle:(

When I started I lost countless birds, but once I managed to get some to stay the rest seemed easy. Only started 4 years ago, but remember the anguish well. You'll need a thick skin and a duck's back to weather the storm, but the fun part and the feeling of elation seeing your birds return outweighs it all. I am only racing short just now, but am still amazed at the birds and look forward to them returning from distance.

hope you isolated the bird,you dont know where its been...or what birds it has been mixing with....
