Kyleakin Lofts Posted June 2, 2013 Report Posted June 2, 2013 May sound callous, but worry about the ones IN the loft.
john cumming Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 Young bird blue su 13 ne 7381 And cheq su 13 ne 7371 craig am sure they wont be far away, probs sitting on some of the roof tops around your loft area, young birds quite often do that, when they get hungry they usually work back john

Guest CraigForsyth Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Young bird blue su 13 ne 7381 And cheq su 13 ne 7371 Well done Craig, way to go. Hope your YB's are back, but good to see you concentrating on the returns from Oldmeldrum.Yeah thanks mate and nope never seen any of the two of them again yet and also let all 15 young birds out tonight but only 14 returned so I'm missing a grizzle:(
Kyleakin Lofts Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 When I started I lost countless birds, but once I managed to get some to stay the rest seemed easy. Only started 4 years ago, but remember the anguish well. You'll need a thick skin and a duck's back to weather the storm, but the fun part and the feeling of elation seeing your birds return outweighs it all. I am only racing short just now, but am still amazed at the birds and look forward to them returning from distance.
