Hi chaps!

I've a confession to make - I'm not actually a pigeon fancier! But don't kick me out just yet...

I'm a scientist at the University of Reading. I want to look in to the relation between pigeon navigation and geomagnetic activity (or "space weather," as it's often called). I saw a nice article on the subject by bilco, so thought you might be sympathetic to my research.

Basically, I wondered if anyone knew of any big records/logbooks/databases of pigeon flights. This could be race times, numbers of lost pigeons, etc. I can then start to look for trends related to pigeons being affected by changes in the Earth's magnetic field, what conditions cause the biggest effects, etc. Anything you could point me to would be a big help.

Cheers, Matt.

Thanks for the reply! No, I thought PigeonBasics probably wouldn't do any record keeping itself, I just wondered if you knew of any organisations, societies, groups that might? Then I can pester them instead! ;)
