Well I'll respect the decision made.... But am far from pleased and will think on the future if fed back out cause some aint ready. That's there fault not mine or the feds

i agree with you m8 if others are not ready why are the people who are being held back start a new trend if going on holiday for a week or two just get yer fed to hold the raceing back till ye catch up what a load of bull

last week weather here was leaded skys cold n.est wind not weather for traing especially if birds are still feeding big youngsers just asking for trouble imo

there were good times, but there was certainly not good returns

yes but returns can be bad at anytime chad we getit down the east side 4 th 5 th 6th race every year even with good weather m8

well just looked at 3 dif weathers and all say otterburn and edinburgh from 7am upto 2oclock afternoon is all sunny so dont no why we should be gettin pulled back .

yes there worse its pure pannicking its birds we keep nature made them to fly in all weather or they would starve if i did not think my birds were ready i would not send them not try to stop the the guys that are ready

let the club flyers do what they want and race this week.for fancier.s like myself with bigger ambitions ie nationals keep them at home if you have been unable to train.

think what is causeing the most concern is the programme jumping from otterburn to thirsk 90ml jump and if birds are not ready could see losses which then has a knock effect to the federation with less birds on transporter

The reason folk aint ready is the east wind! Trust me you DO NOT want to train or RACE in an east wind....FACT.An east wind later in the season aint great either but should be a lot warmer?hopefully. You wont do yer birds any favours training in this weather so getting ready is hard but its a choice whether you go or not on sat if weather better and distance ok?

east winds de hydrate if you look at the grass in the garden just now with all the east winds its turned almost white 2 or 3 days rain and westerlies will put that right again .

Peter - you have mentioned the jump from Otterburn to Thirsk several times. As race controller you have the right to cancel a race on a Friday in the interest of the pigeons. But the race programme was set at the AGM and no person has the right to change it. Can you adjust the fees or the committee without a special general meeting?? This race must be scheduled for Friday marking and only then can it be cancelled for a justifiable reason. The delegates do not have the authority to change the race programme in this situation. The liberation site is available, the forecast is fine, finances to not come into it at 60 miles. There is no debate here other than members choosing to send or not.

Ye Rab thats deffo tru. I am hearing some horror stories of training doon here? Whether they are 100% accurate I dont know but no smoke without fire?

dal ithink the guys that are getting the problems have had there birds locked up all winter let them out a few weeks and think they are fit enough to stick in a basket ive had 16 tosses with 18 late breds from 12 to 24 mile and lost one they were in a sect there self and out all winter

each club has a delegate and sectary when the delegates meet their only putting over the views of their club members. when it is a meeting like this your secretary should have had the vote or opinion of each member.then the club delegate puts over the opinion of club members regarding race. as for canceling race 2 weeks ago. if it had been good weather this week where would that decision got us. it is not the fed that decides but the fed members via their secretary and delegate. so if you are in the dark on meeting like this it is down to your own club secretary and delegate.

 

as for birds not getting trained it is only 60 mile .if birds can,t do that with the wind in their favor it is time to get new birds.i have missed my training but then 2x10 fi sutra their still a chance
