Wiley Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 Got a two year old cock bird, multiple club and federation carder, trying to take over boxes. Originally he tried to take over box to left of him but got out of that as I was boxing vice versa over night. But last night the two year old cock decided to go to the box on the right to a vicious yearling, they have ripped each wattles apart. Absolutely gutted.

Tony C Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 Take the positives from it son, the yearling gave as good as he got................ shows he has fire in he's belly. If no flights are broken or eggs smashed theres nothing lost.
Guest geordiejen Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 i had something very similar.cock bird took over a whole section.4 pair were in the section and when he paired up to the hen he took all 9 nestboxes, the feeder and drinker.3 days i put up with it but when i started seeing lots of dark green droppings i knew the others werent getting any feed,or pairing up.2 days after i penned the pair up away from the rest the others started airing up and now seems to be a happy section.some cock birds just go way over the top at breeding time.

Both now boxed up the pair of them. Luckily no broken flights or eggs, but both very blooded up and They look tired.
