Guest bigda Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 OK fun is fun but a lot of folks have entered birds at £100 each they deserve to know the truth. all birds should have had ETS rings assigned before training after all the ets ring cost must have been budgeted for on the original 1000 bird proposal Or is this the owner reducing his costs. The proposal mentions 12 races but it has never been said apart from Nationals if these races are one loft liberations or with a club / fed / UNC. Question what is the best way to win a National. Answer set up a one loft race in a good position have top flyers pay £100 to enter birds with the lure of big prize money, they are then entered under the one loft owners name. At the end of the day how easier TO WIN PERSONAL GLORY THAN HAVE OTHERS PAY TO ENTER THEIR BEST AND YOU PICK UP THE PRIZESdont think that was the plan but the way it has turned out the one loft has come ok for the owner he has saved out the deal he will not need to put up the lofts he can sell the land and remove the trailer, he might put pigs on itfatten them up a bit just to anoy the locals yes he has a good chance now of entering ever race he can get but dont forget he will have over 100 young birds of his own also, in them races. if he put pigs in the locals will give him double the money he paid for the grounds to get them out

Maby no ets on as dont want folk to know whats left as they might not be happy camper , it certainly wont bring new fanciers in for next year as most ive talked to would not touch it with a barge pole now due to the un profesional way its been run and the lack of info about folks best birds they have sent and there cash thy have spent to enter them . If you look at north coast classic you can get the list of birds there and the ones missing they also put up if birds are sick die or are injured .http://www.northcoastclassic.co.uk/

Guest bigda Posted July 20, 2013 Report Posted July 20, 2013 Ian dosnt have anything to do with it he only arranged the syndicate birds and he is no wiser to the situation than you or anyone else .All lack of info down to the lads who took the £100 pounds per bird and run the race its up to the guys that ran your syndicate on here to find out then, is it not. a wee phone call is all it will take to check your ring list. yes i know it will be a shock for some to find out there bird did not make the grade, or it became ill if i had paid my money i would have found out if i was in it by now. yes the syndicate would be a nice thing for the site seeing how well the members birds where doing in the trainingand no doubt most of the fanciers have the nest mate at home doing ok in there training and racing

bigbill Posted July 20, 2013 Report Posted July 20, 2013 A bit behind with some tech issue , so not sure, but will update site after Monday mate,
Big Wattle Posted July 21, 2013 Report Posted July 21, 2013 "Not sure when the first race is due to tech issues", the management took in over £45,000 on this venture. Race programme on website has 12 races, we know SNFC and UNC are on same day so lets look at 11 races, must be racing midweek as there are only 7 Saturdays before the National races, they must have some idea when the first race will be. They still have never stated whether races apart from SNFC / UNC nationals are SOLR only liberations or with a club / Fed. Tech issues is that a delay to assign ETS rings or what, most clubs use ETS and normal working guys can handle the system management. The ETS rings I would have thought would have been assigned to the Y/birds when they arrived, then totally trackable at all times and not this late with also a tech issue possibly being used as a possible management excuse.
Big Wattle Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 Ets assigned 22nd July but still no ring list up showing birds that are still there First race posponed a week to let members see how the birds are doing and the ets working still nothing All these delays sill no race programme details giving race points or dates.

I hate to say it but I feel the info that should be made available to the guys entered in this OLR is below par. There must be a good reason why Billy hasn't kept you all up to speed. Give him time m8.
geordie1234 Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 I'm glad I never entered now to be honest
gulkie Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 And they say OLR are our future then the race game is bleaker than I thought.
Ian McKay Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 I hate to say it but I feel the info that should be made available to the guys entered in this OLR is below par. There must be a good reason why Billy hasn't kept you all up to speed. Give him time m8. Being the second biggest syndicate organiser I am more than disappointed that no info is available or set race points surly he must know where he is going and who with by now How long does he need to let us know how many birds are left and who they belong to If they have been ETS fitted first time out and we should see the print out I said I would NEVER go to another OLR but was asked to run this for the site OH what a mistake Ian McKay

Not being hard on myself Andy only telling the truth loads of promises and no action I have spoken to Billy and know of some of his problems but if you take in peoples money you should give them what they paid for information and results This from one who has paid money not like some that are not in it and commenting
