scottym7 Posted November 20, 2012 Author Report Posted November 20, 2012 Thanks for all the comments guys.Yes almost every bird is handled by the judges see the standard below for Horseman pouters which the judge should try to go by, however i am ageat beleaver in a judge will pick what they would like to take home and have in their loft providing it is as close to the standard as possible. Overall Impression : Cheery & Lively, response to chatDimensions :Height : 9 - 10", Length 12 - 13" tip of beak to end of tailHead : oval and neat, beak resting on crop, ( I prefer the beak to create a heart shape on the crop JMO)Eye : red/orange/yellow ( not mixed or bull)Beak : Dark in selfs, fleshy in dilutes and whites accepted, medium wattle.Neck : Crop rounded and well sprung and in relation to the body, not over blowing.Body : Strong and firmWings : Tight to the body slightly parted at end and around 3/4" from the tail.Feathers : Strong and hard in good conditionLegs : Strong appearance free from feathers and in proportion to body i.e. not to longColours ; All colours accepted including grizzles and self whites however white flights are not excepted. faults, too tall and too upright, too low and too long, Bull eyes marked or odd eyes, small wattle, long beak small crop & overblown, distorted or cropbound, skinny, prominant keel, too heavy and too wide, too long & cross flighted, Droopy wings, dirty dull and broken flights.
