Guest IB Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 Yes reckon the website shows the full picture - no point in treating the birds alone if the house and surrounding areas are infested. Need to treat the house too.
THE FIFER Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 creosote used to be the best for inside chicken huts to rid red mite, that was the pure creosote used for the telegraph poles

Novice Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 Chickens are particularly bad for mite. They infest the birds and the hut.Just need to keep treating the birds and the loft till they are gone. Are the scales on the legs of your birds raised as mite can do this to poultry?
greenlands Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 Spraying the shed is a must, several times will be necessary .

peter pandy Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 2 gallons water in a pale add 1/2 bottle Harkamitex. Submerge chicken up to its ears and lock into hen house for night. No more lice for months.
