Guest Vic Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 A knight attack was thwarted, when shot down in flames by RAF Ace, a.k.a. the "Red Fox" over Liverpool. Next of kin (believed to be from the Whipsnade area) have been informed. lol.

Next of kin (believed to be from the Whipsnade area) have been informed. lol. its about time fergie was given a little back, he thinks that he is royalty and void from punishment after his rants. rafa only told it how it is...fergie only plays mind games with the one that he fears may be the title threat...torres back and skrtel..and liverpool yet to hit form..what a lovely few months a head.
BLACK W F Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 and wins tittles cups lets be honest all thats worth winning RAFA just like a big baby whos lost his DUMMY lol
Blue Chequer Pied Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Fergie has obviously got under the skin of Rafa. If he wasn't worried he should have just laughed it off Fergie has got into his head, he will be smiling today. Mission accomplished. Like him or loath him he is a great 'man-manager' and he is pulling Rafa's strings. I think it will be an interesting run in, should make good viewing. Paul.

BIGGLES is coming to thwart you on Sunday with his fantastic aeronauticals. LOL.
BLACK W F Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 well vic how long is it since Liverpool won the league and they still have not won it yet probally never will untill they either get a Scots or GEORDIE MANAGER
Roland Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Never mind what, or how Rafa feels, it was only part of the truth. Reality is he gets away with a lot more. Besides it certainly is time the FA defended refs there, and actually took action over Fergie's rants. Likewise time they force Man U to clean up their fans act. He says that the reason 98% of home games are Man U. fans is because other followers A. Don't apply for tickets, and B. don't support their team like they should. The mere fact that the atrocicities and atrosious behavior and untoward voilence seems also to convienently slips his mond. Yes many go every where Home and away ... etc. to Man U.
BLACK W F Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 roland as i am not a man u fan just a football fan who used to go to a lot of games to watch football you can not get away that Fergie is the greatest manager there has ever been in british football look at what he achieved at Aberdeen and how many times he has rebuilt teams at MAN U he is in a league of his own the rest are just also rans give credit where credit id due for got to add he was brillaint for st mirron

Guest Vic Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 In my mind he is, and always will be an out and out bully. A guy called Robin (without Batman) saved this jokers fortune with a very very late important goal when the bolthole was looming. As regards championships! You still lag behind Liverpool. Lets face it! success in the so called Premier League has mainly been down to the big money clubs., with The Manure having more than most.

I just think that Fergie is a master at these mind games and in my opinion the greatest manager this country has ever seen. As I said as a neutral i think it is going to be very interesting. May the best man win. Paul.
Blue Chequer Pied Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Fergie 1 Rafa 0 Mindgames,...... what mind games. And before you all start I am not a Man U fan. Rangers and Forres Mechanics for me who could incidently meet in the next round of the Scottish cup. Mechanics all the way :) :) Paul.

Guest Vic Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 well vic how long is it since Liverpool won the league and they still have not won it yet probally never will untill they either get a Scots or GEORDIE MANAGER You talk a load of crap! A telly watcher indeed! Well , Dumbpot, you telly me, How many successful Geordie managers have we had since the man with the greatest record of all. IE. Bob the only one and ever, Paisley! In the space of the few years he was in charge, his record is better than any manager on earth. You send me an apology when it's all over. AND I MAY SEND YOU A PHOTO OF 1,2,3,4,5 (Yes Five) classic teams all called LIVERPOOL that put ALL europe to shame, before the big money started to talk. Don't forget the Geordie manager Question, Dumpot. LOL Please don't mention either of the Robsons. LOL.
Guest strapper Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Surely though thats just looking into the past, it has to be the present that matters yes surely it is.....but so is past utd victories in the league....so where do we say past is past...when liverpool was winning league titles they was winning champs leagues titles...in all their dominance how many did utd win....there are so many angles to look at.
Roland Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 BLACK W F I never said any different, from W. Chapman etc. and other great names, he is undoubtedly in the top drawer. Times and eras. etc. vary, as do likes, dislikes, point for both for and against. But for any one to deride Sir Alex would not only be foolhardy but ludicruss. Yet I admire his mangerment skills... and he hasn't many players that many teams would like. Tom Docherty should have get his manhood in his pocket, because he was also destined to be a legend without any doubt. But a good decent manager can but success as Blackburn proved under that great owner Walker. I also look at what shoe string clubs acheived, like Wimbledon.... Non League upto the First and then of cause Premier. Just waht did the three great managers spend... nowt. Curblishly at Charlton Atheletic... Take what Aserne has acheived and made money every season for Arsenal! The cost in relationship to many is fantastic. What could he have acheived if he open up his cheque book, Put new shirts up every other week, etc.! And also one must consider the Chairmam and what he would / will allow. Alex was obviously lucky that Edwards gave him a good shake of the rope. Many would have been long gone, especially today, and History would not have even heard of Sir Alex most likely... Done great at Aberdeen too.... Lets look at Martin O'niel, he has never failed to impress with great results and spent very little too especially when compared to many Cheque books. The list is of course long, and reasoning and biases varied, but Sir Alex is, and has been great.... an A***ole maybe, but a great. I've never ever said any different.
DeDarren Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 The Greatest Manager ever in British Football? hahahaha! As has already been mentioned, Fergie was on the brink of being sacked after almost one-too-many potless years in charge, then, very luckily for him things fell into place. There is not a single top flight club in the World that would, or could allow this to happen nowadays. He came good just as the big money was being pumped into the Premier League as well as the huge revenues generated outside of the football arena, which are all significant co-factors to the success and longevity he has achieved. Had Ferguson been around in Bob Paisley or Brian Clough's heyday, when there were no such pots of corporate money being thrown around willy nilly, I very much doubt he would have been remembered as all that special a Manager. In fact, I shudder to think what Paisley or Clough might have achieved had they been around at the peak of their powers during the last twenty years?? (And to think he was knighted after winning the Champion's League after so many, many unsuccessful attempts to make it beyond the group stages, it took him almost the whole of the 90's to master it, Rafa did it in his first year and got to the final again in his 3rd year, even Houllier did better than Fergie based on how far he took his side in his first season in charge ) Back in the 70's and 80's, it was about unearthing and nurturing true talent, convincing a player for football not reasons, that your club was best for them, not flapping a cheque book where you were always guaranteed to outbid your main rivals, until Chelski and City came whizzing past in their diamond encrusted yachts. Players came to football clubs to play football, not to kick ten types of sh*t out of fans or parade on catwalks in Milan, metrosexuality hadn't even been invented back then! And if you look at the amount of successful managers from north of the border that have become also-rans whilst plying their trade in the Premier League or the old Division 1 as opposed to the number that were successful, it gives you a renewed sense of perspective. We had more of them than anybody else anyway! Ferguson has bought and bullied his way to a lot of his success and has remained a double standardised hypocrite throughout his reign. Remember his tapping up of Jaap Stam to name but one of the many times he has been accused of this and then he has the gall to decry Real Madrid when they themselves 'do a Man U' and came a-knocking on Cristiano's front door in the dead of night. Or what about his PROMISE to sack any player who was found guilty of drug taking offences, yet Rio Ferdinand remains at the heart of the Manure defence. Yes he may have skipped the test and thus was never found guilty, but why did Manure not see fit to conduct it's own testing and punish the drug cheat as the F.A. saw fit to? And you talk of man management? Dear friends, Bill Shankly wrote the book and hand pressed the t-shirt. And finally, with regard to Liverpool's continuing quest to land the elusive Premier League crown, it just goes show you how far ahead of the rest the Mighty Reds were that even though we haven't won the title for 18 years, we are STILL the MOST SUCCESSFUL ENGLISH FOOTBALL CLUB IN HISTORY. YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE.
Guest Vic Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Phew! I aint got a clue who this guy is! Who said, we don't talk the proper talk. Thanks Mate! Vic.
Blue Chequer Pied Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Guys this thread has meandered a bit. Rafa got into the ring with Fergie got a standing eight count and left with a bloody nose and a blackeye. The best team dosent always win at the end of the day. Arsenal have played football at times over the years to eclipse both of them and have won nothing for a while. The point is Fergie tried to win up Rafa which he obviously did. Rafa reacted which is exactly what Fergie wanted and Liverpool have suffered as a result. I personally dont think Liverpool are robust enough to win the title. I think united will kick on from here and regain the title. United had a poor start which Liverpool have had many times in the past few years but they have never got back into the race that for me is the real difference. But like I said I am not a Man U fan and it will be very interesting over the next couple of months. Who do you think slept more soundly last night Fergie or Rafa? Mind games dont you just love them. Paul.
