tyson Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 I would like to appologise to the members of midlothian fed for not getting a race at the weekend but I could only go with the forecast that I was being presented with which completily changed over the coming hours I will try and not let this happen again unless I get a forecast telling me that there is 100 per cent no chance of a race then the pigeons will be going to the race point at the end of the day I try my best to give everyone good raceing with hopefully good returns as always my priority is the welfare of the pigeons first peter calder race controller midlothian fed
Novice Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 Well said always acting with the best interests of the birds at heart.Being honest it wasn't really a bad decision as all Midlothian youngsters are there to fight another day.
b.massey Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 Well done Peter and hopefully weather let's the birds race now till snfc yb nat
TheHigg Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 peter i think i would rather be rememberd as the controller who canceld the race than the one who went ahead and lost everybodys birds
blaz Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 are we back at otterburn hope so as myself and other members did not send full team to the 1st one
pigeon359 Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 Keep the chin up Peter. As you know, most of the other Scottish Feds took a hammering on saturday and at least we all have full teams to go next week. You can't please everyone and like you say the birds welfare must come first. Cant count the times I have basketed my birds for a toss in the blazing sun and got a mile down the road and it's bucketed down! Typical British weather is so unpredictable and better SAFE than sorry
mitch Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 peter i think i would rather be rememberd as the controller who canceld the race than the one who went ahead and lost everybodys birds Had a great race with pentland Fed full returns
Guest big slim Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 Pentland Fed certainly did not get a hammering. Good race good controller.
Guest big slim Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 Well they did lose more than Midlothian.
tyson Posted August 7, 2012 Author Report Posted August 7, 2012 at the end of the day I couldna cara less whether pentland lose birds or not I look after my own fed and I dont want to see any fed loseing pigeons so this compareing between feds should stop we are all in the game of pigeon raceing and we dont want to see anybody loseing pigeons whether it be pentland or midlothian
