the only reason I trained today, was because our racing does not start until next week, would never train the day before a race, although some folks do.

Have also noticed that some fanciers dont let their birds out on a Friday,often wondered what the thinking in that was,mind I suppose the obvious being that they could go off and spend hours away or even suffer a bop attack.

given the chance i would train every Friday morning 15 miles

First time today in 40 years that i have ever trained birds that were due to race ,reason being with the awful weather felt they could do with a toss today with the wind being very strong west like it has to be tomorrow ,took them to 20 mls and put them up in small batches came very well all home so ready for the race now :emoticon-0123-party:
