Guest ghenty Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Let my 12 youngsters out for their fly this evening, 7.30pm, about their normal time. The first 6 went out, circled and then vanished. Still waiting now!! Hopefully see some on the board in the morning, still got a bit of light here but clutching at straws I reckon! Good old pigeon racing, certainly has it's ups and downs!
billt Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Hope you get them, it's full daylight here in West Wales
geordie1234 Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Get used to it dont worry about it. It happens to everyone mate you will get some back and they will be better for it
Guest ghenty Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Something has happened coz just got 1 back so they have certainly been split up. Totally agree though Geordie, the ones that do make it back will be better birds, I'm sure of it. Just got to keep reminding myself of the patience needed in this sport, marathon and not a sprint!

Guest ghenty Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 These ones haven't, lol. I had 8 initially that went out first and then 4 have been added since. Out of the 5 that are missing 4 of them are these new imports. That said, they have been going off for an hour or so at a time. Well, as my Grandad always says,"Mush, once they're in the air there's nowt ya can do." How right he is!

Guest ghenty Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 first outing then i think Wiley ? Yeah that was the first time out. Had a very interesting time with these babies so far. One hit a TV aerial the other night and ripped it's frontage right open, seems to have made a decent initial recovery though. The aerial went with a right bang!
