frank-123 Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 frank what jamie is saying is that there is no communication from fed sec to clubs or anybody on the management commitee last year club sec,s were kept updated and informed members what was happening not all the hearsay on the internet I was trying to be funny Jamie know's me. i have said earlier the fed are not telling the member's what is happening The Driver was unable to move after he arrived at the liberation site due to rules on driving HGV 05.00 until 14.00 was a rest period This is a true fact and not hearsay the information was passed to me by the race controller.

Shambles!!! i am very embarrassed to be a Lanarkshire fancier today. Hopefully in the next 10-20 years we can purchase our own 7.5 tonne vehicles....lol, trying to cheer myself up. All the best tommorrow from the big Longtown race.
Guest bigda Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 the Lanarkshire can always find an excuse so what if the driver has to wait 9 hours before he gets home, he took the shilling, and has good days and so must come the bad.they will have to get a second driver on board, and that we need to pay for. it is possible now the birds will be at the border no problem tomorrow if this is to happen why not have the same race point the next week and have the open and take out one of the come back races.

geordie1234 Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 is it fact we are coming up to longtown or appleby ?
JohnQuinn Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 is it fact we are coming up to longtown or appleby ? Yes George we will be at Longtown tomorrow, and as far as i am aware the drivers hours had F all to do with the decision not to move today. Fact is the Yearling Derby is an important race for a lot of fanciers in the Fed and in forlorn hope that it might clear up enough to lib, the birds were kept at the race point. There is NO chance of a lib from there tomorrow either so the birds will be brought to Longtown which is the only CERTAIN place we can get up from tomorrow. Hope this clears it up for you mate.

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 so why did we not race from longtown today :emoticon-0138-thinking: :emoticon-0138-thinking: Yip it came from the race controller that they couldn't move because of the drivers tacho. Its not you John, but someones papering over the cracks about the inefficiency of having a haulage company transport us.

go go Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 ARE WE PAYING FOR THE DRIVER TO HAVE A GOOD SLEEP THEN, I THOUGHT THERE WAS A CLAUSE IN THE TRANSPORT, FOR LIVE BIRDS. IF HE HAD LEFT AT 10 PM HE WOULD HAVE HAD ALL THE SLEEP HE WANTED OR 9 PM THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ARRANGED.never heard so much sh** in all my life and believe me i have seen this with my own eyes your driver is not on a restricted time as i seen him last year at kelso young birds when he liberated the pigeons and left straight away as the lanarkshire lads were all on here moaning how they couldnt to otterburn because of his tacho time anyway he left on friday night at 9pm and still not up your paying him £8,9,10 per hour
