Well after checking the weather and the wind for the morra and speaking to some people on the phone am certainly not emptying my loft and most of my doos are staying home.Good luck to everyone that races the morra especially fae the west route as our doos will get it tough and most of my older doos that went last week can sit in the loft with the pipe and slippers on tonight :emoticon-0157-sun:

Just remember much the same temperature the morra as today and it was baltic in that park this afternoon when i got to the loft after work :(

personally I do not think a 60 mile jump is any problem,we start ours at 100 mile and also from last weeks race 170 miles to this one in France 280 miles they are actually jumping 110 miles

THE LANARKSHIRE, WILL BE RACE MARKING TONIGHT AS WE DON'T DO WALKING AWAY.

have always said the birds should be at the race point as the weather can all change at any time and there is always a chance of a race and it certainly will not harm the birds to have a night in a basket as when you start over the channel they could have a few nights in the basket, just my opinion as I can remember Lanarkshire a few years back postponed basketing till the Saturday for a race on Sunday and the weather turned out to be glorious on the Saturday and was worse on the Sunday.

YES AGREE THAT WAS THE RULING it should be the case for all the feds get down the road and worry about it later, they will not let them go if there are problems.

with the weather forcast nowadays being a bit more accurate than they used to be why go to the expense of holdovers when they can be avoided better the birds sitting in loft as sitting in baskets

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN OF THE OPINION "GET THEM TO THE RACEPOINT 1ST AND THEN LET THE CONTROLLER SORT IT FROM THERE" AS WE HAVE ALL SEEN BAD DODGY FORECASTS AND WE HAVE GOT A RACE THE NEXT DAY AND GOOD RACES AT THAT I CAN REMEMBER NOT TOO MANY YEARS AGO A FED NEXT TO OUR OWN PUT MARKING BACK 24 HRS AND WE HAD A GREAT RACE PON THE SATURDAY WHEN THE WEATHER CHANGED...
