Guest stb Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 sorry, made an arsenal of myself ;Dyour on a winning streak then ;D ;D
Guest bigda Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 glad the game took the pressure of you guys, the arsenal ain't that good didn't see £40 million pound players there, and if you are honest about it you know i am right, but what i did see a lot of drop outs, as soon as any one went near them, and that ain't through green tinted glasses never mind, sure it was a grand old team to see ,and if you know the history , well we where the first to win the old trophy ;D ;D
sapper756 Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Unfortunately, I would have to agree, we were outclassed, however Boruc was rarely called to make a save, both goals were deflections :-/ we have an uphill struggle now, but you never know, we seem to play better when we are in this position :-/
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 ;) rangers would fare no better and you both would like to join the premiership dream on ;D Yes it's a shame that the Old Firm two of the three biggest clubs in the UK cant join the English premiership and this is why the gulf between the old firm and the English teams is only going to get greater as the years roll on which means we have to suffer poor, inadequate football north of the border compared to the quality of English football. resembles the pigeon sport what is happening to the old firm Location location location

Some of the best Long Distance fanciers of all time have come from North of the Border and Ireland. JMHO
DODC Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 If Celtic and Rangers had 100 mil. to spend it would be another story,we did have a Englishman on the park and he played very well, and so did the rest, yes we were outclassed.
Roland Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Some times money certainly helps .... Blackburn bought the title like others - Chelsea nd Man U. etc. That is the difference I feel a lot of the time. A great name 'Martin O'Neil' and Harry Rednapp, Big Sam do well - though Spurs are the 2nd riches owner - following in the foot steps of Brian Clough. But money alone is not enough. Needs a lot of cogs today to cog together i believe. Jock Stein and Walter Smith with even era and Money would have peoduced great side here I believe. Ofcourse like other great Scottish managers I.e. Tom Docherty, Shankley, Daglish - not my favourite BUT favourite player ete. etc. So the talent is there - some git who must be rated as an all time great called Fergie or sommat ;D. And great players both side of the borders. Yet I personally feel that the scots, are great individuals and never team player. Hearts on sleeves and run in to the ground. So if the money was there, would it be 8 + foriegners - like Arsenal etc - in their teams?
Guest bigda Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 celtic has 1or 2-£ 4 million pound players and i know what they expect of players for that kind on money, but dose arsenal know, that they are getting robbed from guys that are worth £40millon+ never seen any great trickery from them :-/
mark Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Hard lines Celtic..... honest ;D ;D ;D ;D As Mick said they were simply outclassed. Heard it many times before, the Auld Firm wouldn't do in the Premiership... blah blah Put it another way...... the vast majority of the Premiership wouldn't do it in the SPL the vast majority of premiership sides cant cut it in the SPL arsenal never got out of 2nd gear and thats the 4th best team in the premiership. i would love to see your so called big two come to the premiership you would be midtable at best ;)
