don't do that, just do as the rest of them do, and say all up.there guys that say this ever week they mustn't be able to get there shed door shut, for the amount of birds that they never seem to lose.

No more back this morning so still missing 5/10. Down to 6 cocks for the rest of the season. Novice mistake sending yearlings some un raced to a hold over race with a Northerly wind. For them to be liberated in hail storms at the home end. I suppose this is pigeon racing. I hope i can keep the remaining 6 otherwise the young birds are going to be getting a lot of early training.

got our last one back today from yesterday so 100% returns from what was also a very tough race in a north wind with all the birds in the club well spaced out,in the end because of the wind we held back most of the yearlings and sent three and it was a wise move as they were well behind the other birds and it was the same for other club members who also only sent a couple of yearlings but had all the yearlings away on a toss today and they are all back safely so this week it will be all the yearlings if the weather is not too bad,we have hopefully what is looking to be a good team of yearlings and we do not intend to throw them away just to get a race, there is plenty time as long as they get the odd toss if not raced, but they will all go sooner or later

I wish i had done the same however i only have 1 2year old. A lesson learned for me this weekend. I am sure it won't be the last one.

we only have 15 birds that are between 2 and 3 years old, every bird has to fly the channel at least once when they are yearlings some do it twice but the 2 year old's have to do it 2 to 3 times hence the reason we do not have masses of birds,we only have 4 birds that have flown over 500 miles and 3 of them did it on the day from Saintes :animatedpigeons: :animatedpigeons:
