greenlands Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 I was training on the West Cumbria Fed transporter on Saturday, the birds returned OK.but no big batches as expected.A red cock was the last to return and appeared OK.They went again yesterday and when basketting I noticed he had four outer tail feathers missing. The convoyer told the lads basketting that the birds were hit with two Peregrines on liberating Sat.Several experienced birds are reported missing.Liberated Muncaster.Same reports from Haverigg. :emoticon-0179-headbang:
Guest bluemorning Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 I have a SH attacking the birds in the air which has never happen before. Up to know I have had 4 attacks during the last 5 days. I will take my birds training evey day to avoid all this if I have to do. If last year is anything to go by, the peregrine will pick the youngsters off when they start to fly. A friend has had terrible trouble with the peregrine taking his babies. owen mate on sunny days the spars will quarter quite high like the peri, from this they can attack watch out for them quick scan of sky before you let them out,and yes they will use the blinding sun.
Guest Tooshy Boy Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 IT IS REALLY GETTING OUT OF HAND . KEEP DONKING.///
