I was visiting a member of our club today who has bought the 'irri tape' out of the BHW. The man is 85 years old and has no access to the internet unfortunately or he may have been able to buy what I have found instead. He paid £24.99 for some thing that cost only a few pounds on Ebay. The man selling this stuff is ripping fanciers off and not for the first time. I really cannot stand conmen hence my post and link.

I think you are right. The instructions say not to put infront of loft or trapping areas. Rip-Off!!

in time the pigeons might get used to it but most likely so will the bop i agree a useless piece of kit to rip off the pigeon fancier yet again

Willie it is unbelievable, I went to see him today and he showed me what he had bought. I couldn't believe it. He has put it up in the garden and I am positive it will not work. I did not have the heart to tell him that he had been done by a conman. If he had told me he was thinking about buying it I would have looked into it for him. The amazing thing is this stuff is designed to scare pigeons aswell. The instructions state, and I qoute 'Do not place directly in front of trapping areas. Place to the rear or ends of the loft'

I have a bit from ma mate on the garden right in front of the huts, stock doos and racers have been oot and havent bothered the birds in any way and the wind has been blowing since i put it up, no problems with scaring the birds, havent seen any preditors and the birds have been oot since i got it from him.

 

 

The only reason i got s trip was because i had a bird taken with the Peregrine, it may no help with the Peregrine problem but have no problem with the Sparry, touch wood.

 

But this robin bassa that is taken money off PENSIONERS should be reported and dealt with, YA ROBIN BASSA HOLD YIR HEID IN SHAME.

It is now 20 plus years since i tried all sorts of gimmicks on the doos to try and deter the falcon ,eg bali bells ,terror eyes ,sequins,coloured dye etc ,and please believe me on this one *expletive removed* all works that is legal , When a falcon is targeting birds at speeds in excess of 100 mph it don't give a damn whats sticking to them,and the doo when being targeted don't even come close to being brave enough to stick around for the result ,SAD BUT TRUE

the one from the BHW is double sided, the e-bay one looks the same, so yes a rip off at £24-99 when you can get it for £4,99, but then again loads of goods are cheaper on e-bay, depends what the cost is for the other has to pay from a supplier, and if it doesnt work are both not ripping us off, one more than the other,
