being an "auld safty" i have a weaning box i put a bed of soft shavings in , looks funny when theres 12 or more crammed into an 18 square box :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Mine are 24/28 days old and already eating & drinking in nestbox when I shift them. They're already on deep litter, next thing I want to see is them off the floor and perched up in a day or two.

if you have an old basket put on the floor with straw in hook

drinkers on the side gets them used to the basket drinking in

the basket and keep each other warm three jobs in one

Lol andy my ole china, I wasn't taking offence I said it was daft in the first place. I come along with the idea after listening to Freddy Vandheede where he puts a heating plate under the straw, I do not have heating in the young bird shed so thought about the next best thing
