Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 I started my roof ventilation today, Im trying to get the same or similar to Ronny Williamson, I will update my progress with pics until finished for anyone that's interested. Day 1 Measured and cut the roof sheets to size and started cutting out the top ridges for the vents. I used a dremel and a jigsaw to cut out the ridges and a grinder to cut the sheets to size. Its mind numbing and seems to take for ever cutting the top ridges, just hope its worth it in the end. (if any one is going to do the same be sure to wear ear protection as my ears are buzzing like mad lol) Pics below:
THE FIFER Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 very good m8, yes keep us up to date,

Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Day 2 Didnt get much done today I sanded and smoothed off all the cuts and painted them all to prevent them from rusting.
alex wight Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 yer getting there mucker, mine is now complete, and am amazed at the difference. All the hard work does pay off in my opinion. I cut all the ridges at once, when they were all stacked on top of each other, a lot quicker, but your doing well, looking forward to the finish. Regards alex.
