I started my roof ventilation today, Im trying to get the same or similar to Ronny Williamson, I will update my progress with pics until finished for anyone that's interested.

Day 1

Measured and cut the roof sheets to size and started cutting out the top ridges for the vents. I used a dremel and a jigsaw to cut out the ridges and a grinder to cut the sheets to size. Its mind numbing and seems to take for ever cutting the top ridges, just hope its worth it in the end. (if any one is going to do the same be sure to wear ear protection as my ears are buzzing like mad lol)

Day 2

Didnt get much done today I sanded and smoothed off all the cuts and painted them all to prevent them from rusting.

yer getting there mucker, mine is now complete, and am amazed at the difference. All the hard work does pay off in my opinion. I cut all the ridges at once, when they were all stacked on top of each other, a lot quicker, but your doing well, looking forward to the finish.

Regards alex.

Thanks m8 its hard work lol but will get there in the end cant wait until its done. Is the difference in yours really noticeable then. Did you silicone the battens that are positioned either side of the 18 inch holes in the ridges before securing them in place.

I managed to get the original wooden roof cut out, mesh added and the roof sheets placed on but haven't been able to get much else done due to this stupid weather

What goes over the holes you cut in the sheets to stop it letting rain in mate?

an 18" corrugated roof m8 same as the one the holes are cut in, if that makes sense.

Finally finished everything except a bit of painting thank god lol. Turned out to be quiet a big job just hope its worth it. There is a noticeable difference to me, whether it does the pigeons any good is yet to be seen only time will tell i guess.

I also added guttering and a water butt to finish it all off.

Here are the final pics.
