OLDYELLOW Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 carrot are very good for birds I use them to take excess fat of birds , I juice add this to water with a juiced orange and the pulp of the carrot I use mixed in the corn with brewers yeast Carrots contain Beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A, is especially important for eye health. It’s also of great benefit to the skin, and the immune and digestive systems. Carrots are also loaded with fibre and water, which cleanse the liver, boosted oxification and plump out
Wiley Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Patrick brothers used them, I used them for a while juiced and mixed with brewers yeast, was full of good vitamins a and b I found after a hard race they recovered sooner then the ones not receiving it, I always treat different sections to different systems of feed and watering

Guest robscott Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 ive no idea about pigeons/carrots lol.heres a great idea though buy a lettuce and tie it up in the loft watch ya birds rip it up they love lettuce great to use all year round especially during moult.heres another good idea, boil a cabbage then drain off the juice, let it cool right off then put it in the drinkers for your birds, another great idea when birds are moulting.these are old ideas but very effective, just thought a novice might be interested.
