aye ready Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 was wondering if anyone had a source for this product as it is now illegal to purchase it it is used for repelling unwanted visitors to your garden i.e cats.foxes etc the smell from it is supposed to keep anything out your garden dipped with rags and placed strategicaly around your garden, the reason i'm led to believe this stuff was banned was because badger baiters were using it to flush out badgers from their sets, this product can still be available but only on websites that you are a current customer,i know it's a long shot but there might be someone on here that can help as i would like to give this stuff a trial thanks martin

Rooster J. Cogburn Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 May be a daft question Martin but Will the doos not be repelled by it as well ?? I know a lot of these products are designed to keep pests off gardens including wood pigeons. Like you say it must be banned for a reason,so should probably be approached with caution.
Roland Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Think the money would buy a Electric fence and everyone would be happy ... except the cats that sulk and stay away lol

Guest IB Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 I was interested in the 'smell' deterrent. We are told that one of the worst smelling things is skunk spray. Its apparently so obnoxious that it repels all animals. Unfortunately like lions, theres no many skunks aboot here either (at least of the 4-legged variety ) but one of the active ingredients has been identified - n-butyl mercaptan - and is an ingredient along with 'cayenne pepper' and garlic in Scoot Deer & Rabbit repellant, . I thought Amazon US did it, but their product is manufactured by a different company, BIRD-X and I don't know what is in theirs. Scoot is the right company, American, and can be ordered on-line. Here's what they say about Scoot Deer & Rabbit:- http://scootproducts.com/deer-rabbit-repellent
