Young bird season 2010,second race from sedbergh July 2010turned out to be a disaster for the whole federation with the weather turning nasty after liberation and lots of birds missing,

Fast forward November 2011 ,Receive a phone call from a gentleman from the renfrewshire area saying that he had been on a bus trip to Lake Windermere in the lake district and when stepping of the bus on arrival noticed people feeding hundreds of pigeons he spotted one that stood out from the rest a blue cock that had a ring on ,he then got some feed and went on to catch the ringed bird, which happened to be one of my Yb's which was lost that day 15 months ago,the gentleman is going to deliver it to me this weekend which is truly a great gesture, now the million dollar question lads Wat's the chance of it winning in two years time ,breeding on one side dam g/dgt silver shadow on the sire's side from a g son of full sister to Klein dirk ,personally don't hold out to much hope ,BUT LOVE A CHALLENGE .Ps he said its condition is unbelievable .

worth a go if you have the space if not i would not try fit it in

The Blue Cock is now settled back in the loft, his condition can only be described as Show Condition the bird is immaculate in every aspect,I have thanked the gentleman for its return and we both agree that no way has this bird been living wild for any length of time .

When out will certainly go back to where the gentleman caught it. Especially if tossed or raced.

If you feel it could produce something worth while then by all means put it in the stock loft. You will never race, let alone win with it, as it will return to where caught.

Mind always a first time I guess :emoticon-0138-thinking: :emoticon-0138-thinking:

I think that the bird has certainly been living wild. never a 100% sure, but certainly 99.9% it has been. We can't condition a bird anywhere near as good at the wild and mother nature.
