andy Burgess Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 Going to Eddie Newcome's loft as a 12 year old boy, seen Red Rock, The Blonde and many other top pigeons, i was fascinated with everything i seeen from the dookits to the doos and the Feeding he used. Fist time i ever saw Peanuts being fed to doos and some of them were in big lumps of Toffee, apparently his friend worked in a sweet factory or something like that. He was the master of them all, JMO.have heard the same stories from several local boys here John , and some taking boxes of chocolate bars home for there children too
just ask me Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 interesting piont ,is there much diffrence in temperatures between where he is and you ?/ do you think thats still ok ? also weather conditions ? genuine question ,not knocking your choice. the cold wont do them any harm at all the best condition pigeons i have seen have out in all types maybe a little extra grub they need but i would not like a pigeon that got sick out in aviary tbh there should be no reason for it mine love the bath in the cold mornings
HOMER49 Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 the best loft of pigeons ive seen were bernard deweerts of kortermark belgium pure class a true family of pigeons Hi DavaWe were at there lofts in March 2011pure class yes but recent winners?????Missing there late father EmileNow he was class with a capital CCheersHomer 49
dava Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 got to agree with you alex they have not been getting the performances they have been used to but being a very inbred family of doos they seem to have there top performers come in cycles. i was very impressed with bernard as a person a realy geniune man
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 since moving down here I have been most impressed with Mike Webb,we visited his lofts and the birds looked and felt about as good as any I have ever seen or handled and his record in the fed is second to none and he wins out of turn regularly as he is in a crap location and is one of the longer flyers in the fed and he won most of the fed averages this year and had the first two birds in the fed from the longest race which was Saintes[and he races very few birds]
TREBLE D Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 been to a few class lofts in my time, never seen so many combine winners in one place than frank sheaders, the camphius at wlgs like peas in a pod, local old chap called Billy Bowden from chopwell master pigeon man would of been a millionaire if he lived on the continent, but at this present time the birds and set up of Paul Stobbs out of this world.
tiger Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 john ellis from east scotland lothian king & queen the best ive ever seen
