deb Posted November 6, 2011 Author Report Posted November 6, 2011 i,m off to take a headache tablet , just in case i get a headache in the near future May be the Question was to difficult for you Andy. You go and have a li e down
Guest IB Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 May be the Question was to difficult for you Andy. You go and have a li e down I think Andy is saying 'why treat if there is nothing wrong' Deb. Get a droppings and throat swab test kit, send it off and then act on the results, treating only if you are advised its necessary.

Guest Tooshy Boy Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 IF THEIR IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM WYE TREAT THEM A WASTE OF MONEY.///
novo10 Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 better treating them to make sure everything is clear
Guest IB Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 I feel it is always better getting the birds tested. That way you have something 'real' to go by. Winter 2010/11 mine came back clear. I considered that to be positive proof that the birds were healthy, had good immunity and my loft management was just right.

Deb Hello,if your loft is dry should never be any need for cocci treatment,if birds are in good order with silky feathering no need to worm, but i always always treat for canker when they are sitting 10 day eggs then you are sure of healthy youngsters,no good starting to treat if all is not well with the squabs ,to me that would then be to late ,omo .
