hotrod Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 do members in the west beleve thare sistems and doos would win if thay moved east to say eyemouth or south to dumfries i think some would have to chang thare doos and sistems to compet at the nationals because the extra couple of hours the pigeons in the west have to fly would not be needed and our doos could be to slow for one day raceingnaw if i moved to one of those places tam my birds would win and win well i would just have to alter my feeding and tweek my system a wee bit.
novo10 Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Put it this way the Great John Hodgsons of Annan won umpteen nationals with bushys Do you think they pigeons would have won nationals here in the west? The first pigeons in the Borders are flying 2 to 3 hours less than the first pigeons in the west. They extra hours make some difference especially for pigeons flying late at night into they big fecken hills knowing that the BOPS are looking for there supper. So for me its a different doo which is required at both locations.of course they would
lanarkshire lad Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 of course they wouldHe widnae even get a time in.

bullcock Posted October 12, 2011 Report Posted October 12, 2011 Everyone is talking about the best places but hotrod touched on the worse locations, I think Renfrewshire & Ayrshire must be the hardest places to fly into JMO

Rooster J. Cogburn Posted October 12, 2011 Report Posted October 12, 2011 Dunno about best or worst location, its a matter of opinion I suppose. The only two sections not to have won a SNFC race in the last three season though are D and F Hopefully we get our turn soon
sammy Posted October 13, 2011 Report Posted October 13, 2011 whare would you consider to be the best location to fly your doos if you where just interested in national raceing and whare would you consider the worst location i think if some of the top flyers in the west moved south or east thay would have won a national i no its horses for courses and may have to chang thare sistems and doos but but i doo think thay would have won a national race or 2 get it on EYN Would move to newmains in a minute ,Rennes was won there in the 70s with a yearling red hen

Then the second best blot all live near each other too lol let them move loft to the most Western side, and they'll do the Od bit .. Go one then, move to the centre and pray for no wind the day when your birds are 110% ready and conditioned... yep may be on the sheet.... near bottom though lol.
